Governor Eric Holcomb is finally catching on to what residents in Indiana want. On March 21, 2022 Governor Holcomb signed into law Bill 1296 making Constitutional Carry legal.
Starting on July 1, 2022 anyone 18+ that is legally allowed to, (i.e. not convicted of any felonies) can carry a handgun without the need of any permit or licensing.
Although, law enforcement still seek all eligible citizens to obtain a permit to help identify those legally allowed to carry from those not.
